Remember Who You Are

I'm a Black Bodied, Cis-Gender Woman living on the lands of the Tiwa People in Albuquerque, NM. I am currently licensed as an LPC in the State of Colorado. I am choosing not to seek licensure in the State of New Mexico, as I am choosing to  further my work as a Life Coach, and Spiritual teacher, as well as incorporating Traditional Healing practices into my work. 

My desire is to be able to reach those who would want to experience a deeper breadth of care than talk therapy is able to provide. Without the colonial, linear boundaries, the ways in which healing can be found are boundless. I utilize my 25 years of experience as a psychotherapist to help me to go with you to deeper places to find the integral basis of our pain and suffering, then, to incorporate ancient healing techniques to bring forth healing.

Our bodies, minds, emotions, and spirits have all been affected by the events, relationships, and experiences of our lives. We start by remembering that we are beautiful, precious and full of love, just the way we are. We are remembering who we truly are. From here, we can truly heal.

I work with intergenerational and ancestral trauma as well as the traumas in your current life. Our Ancestors are right here with us, waiting for us to ask for their guidance, protection, aid and love. They provide a wealth of available healing for us, and we for them. If our relationships were strained, or even non-existent, the beauty of operating outside of time and space is that we can still connect with them and heal. Part of my work has been learning to bridge this gap of time and space, and to make connections that can bring forth healing on many levels.

Have worked with LGBTIQ Community, and many communities of Culture/Color as well as Multi-Racial, and Immigrant communities.

A volunteer in Restorative Justice Practices, which can be valuable in relationships and families.

I am a Shamanic Practitioner/Teacher since 1998 having worked with 4 different teachers, to include most recently Puma Fredy  Quispe Singona Peruvian medicine man.

 I recently completed a two week intensive course in Curanderismo at the University of New Mexico, where I was able to come to understand the African roots of those healing practices. I am currently working to incorporate those traditional and powerful practices into the mental and emotional work with those who come to me for healing.

In the past, I worked as an Anti-racism consultant and activist towards all causes related to the uplifting of marginalized communities. I have spent the last three years involved online in the work with Resmaa Menakem learning about and incorporating Somatic Abolitionism into my anti-racism, and decolonial personal and interpersonal work with others.

As a Spiritual Teacher and Life Coach, my work is to bring practices from the various spiritual traditions I've been grateful to have been a part of, as a way to help those who are wishing to connect with and heal intergenerational and ancestral trauma. My work is multifaceted, multicultural, and multidimensional in scope, with, as I have said, a desire to help, especially those from marginalized communities to live up to their vast potential, as well as to find liberation on all levels from the many systems that have acted upon us for hundreds of years.
