It’s been almost 10 years now since I took your class, “Constructions of Knowledge” at CU as a freshman in 2005. I may not be able to pull up all of the names of the people in that class with me, but I can remember many of them, and I can remember every face in that class. I mention that because I know for me that means I was in a very special place at that time. I can also remember your guided meditations, and the classes you held outside, teaching us walking meditation in the Boulder sun on Norlin Quad. I created the foundations of my love and study of religion and philosophy in that class, and whenever I expand further into that realm I always think of your readings. But perhaps what I most remember, is that when my dad was facing the spectre of death in the form of cancer in 2007, you counseled him, and helped him more than I can imagine you will ever know, he was Allen (Al) Bierman. I don’t think I ever really properly thanked you for what you did for him, and I wanted you to know I will be forever grateful for it, no one else he spoke to gave him the perspective you did, and it was a powerful and positive one. I’d love to get back in contact with you, and see how you are and how everything is going for you. But regardless, I just wanted to say a very belated thank you.

I have saved this one note on my website for years now, not remembering if I ever answered you, or even if you’ll ever receive this. I am so grateful that you wrote this to me, as it has been a reminder of my purpose in life when those dark times of life have all but swallowed me, and I thought my life had no meaning or worth.
I live in Albuquerque now, having come to the desert like my foremothers before me to find peace, to find my lost parts, to find soul. I still see clients and am teaching Shamanic work, as well as giving tarot readings, as an Oracle. I sincerely hope you have found yourself in life, you were always one of those I was sure would go somewhere important and who would in some way, touch the lives of others.
