Spiritual Teaching and Consultations
What would seem to be “inexplainable” spiritual experiences are not pathological, but are instead, an integral and necessary part of all human lives. Our Ancestors knew this, we are reclaiming this wisdom–it is ours.–Soltahr
“Wow, I was outside of my body looking down at myself sleeping”. Or: “I felt this energy rise up in me from my groin up through my body and bursting outside of my head”. Or: “When I am daydreaming sometimes, I hear the voice of my departed Grandmother”. Or: “I can feel the presence of spirits around me when I’m in certain places”.
Has anything like what was mentioned above ever happened to you? Has anything happened to you that you couldn’t explain, and you were afraid to tell anyone, because it might sound “crazy”? All of these experiences are perfectly natural. Our culture and traditional Psychology/Psychotherapy tend to pathologize these experiences, and you may find yourself overmedicated, or being told you need to go to the Psych ward, which is unfortunate, as these experiences have always been a part of human experience.
The colonized belief systems, including Psychology, have always felt it necessary to pathologize spiritual experiences mainly because many of them come from Indigenous cultures, and these experiences were deemed “primitive” at the advent of Colonialism and the demonizing of many of the ancient cultures whose beliefs stretched back hundreds, perhaps thousands of years. Spiritual experiences are a “normal” part of the human experience and should be treated as such.
We live in a time of great spiritual awakening, and many people all over the world are having experiences such as I mentioned above, and are having a hard time sorting them out, without someone who knows or at the very least someone who can listen without judgement in order to help them to figure out what might be happening. What one needs is someone who can help them to sort out the mental, emotional, physical, and of course the spiritual components of the experience(s) in order to respond to it in a healthy way.
I have been a Spiritual teacher for nearly 40 years, having taught as an Earth-Based Pagan Priestess, Ritual facilitator, and devotee of the Divine Feminine in all forms. I have been a Reiki Master for 30 years, which has opened a powerful door to healing myself, as well as a beautiful ally in my therapeutic work. I started on my Shamanic path in this lifetime in 1998, and continue to teach, learn, and grow myself as well as, and more importantly, bringing this work to BIPOC, as accessing this work has previously been colonized and not financially available in a form that most BIPOC can work with. I have grown exponentially in so many different directions, because I was lucky enough to have teachers along the way to offer guidance and understanding and to help me to “normalize” my experiences within the context of my life at the time. I am here to offer this same kind of guidance about spiritual issues or growth, or to help you figure out what your experiences might mean for you, as well as how these experiences may inform you about who you are, and your life purpose. My many years of self work have included as well, ancestral and intergenerational healing which, in my opinion, cannot be left out of our whole-self work as a way of integrating past, present and future.
I studied Transpersonal Psychotherapy, which says that we as humans are Mind, Body, Emotions, and Spirit. We are not simple, we have many experiences that might not be easy to understand. At times in our lives, after great upheaval, or a trauma, or getting out of a bad situation, we find ourselves having what we call a difficult place as a being. These experiences are called often called “Spiritual Emergence” or even “Spiritual Emergency”, depending on the severity. It simply means that something within our spirit life is trying to speak to us, trying to be seen, heard, and tended to. With some guidance, we can easily find our way.
We aren’t crazy, we’re not losing it, though it can feel that way when we are going through it. What we most need is some loving guidance from someone who can understand and be non-judgmentally receptive and helpful with whatever we might be going through. I have a wealth of spiritual wisdom to share with you. The Tarot is full of archetypal symbology that gives us ideas, messages and information about who we are, and where we are going. Oracle decks are different in that they give more specific information about our day to day lives, and the influences that various events or energies might be having on us. As a living Oracle myself, I am able to tune into what might be going on with you, and on what level, to help you to better understand why your life is going the way it is. I use various decks as entryways into this information and understanding from the many realms where this guidance might be coming from. Ritual and Ceremonies
At every turn of the wheel of life, we go through transitions. At any one of those junctures, we many want to honor and celebrate those passages, large and small that we may be traveling through. Ceremony and Ritual are ways that we can make these occasions seem extra special and even set us forth on our new path with a sense of purpose, wholeness and strength.
I have been a Priestess for the last 39 years, and have been honored to be able to facilitate marriages (all inclusive), Handfastings, Mother Blessings, Baby Blessings, coming of age, Eldering, Croning, Death, and many, of your own choosing, in between. Prices/Donations are negotiable, based on the amount of time needed for preparation, travel and distance.
As an ordained minister, when facilitating Weddings and Handfastings I ask that you as a couple, complete 3(three) counseling sessions with me as part of marriage preparation.
